Drilling Within the Critical Zone
This review synthesises 30 years of critical zone drilling methodologies for studying subsurface weathering, water storage, and biogeochemical processes. We evaluate drilling techniques, sampling strategies, downhole logging, and long‐term monitoring approaches while addressing contamination control and core preservation challenges.

Multianalytical provenance analysis of Eastern Ross Sea LGM till sediments (Antarctica): Petrography, geochronology, and thermochronology detrital data [PDF]
In order to reveal provenance of detrital sediments supplied by West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS), 19 glaciomarine cores of Last Glacial Maximum age were analyzed from Eastern Ross Sea and Sulzberger Bay.

Mineralogy and Formation of a Platinum Placer Deposit, Southern South Island, New Zealand
Placer platinum group minerals (PGM), with subordinate detrital gold, have been concentrated in Pleistocene coastal sands near the present Foveaux Strait shoreline. This study characterises the PGM in what is New Zealand's only identified PGM deposit.

Apatite fission‐track and (U‐Th)/He data indicate rapid exhumation of northern Victoria Land at 40–30 Ma, correlating with opening of Adare Trough at 43–28 Ma. Exhumation was greatest close to the Ross Sea, consistent with other regions of the Transantarctic Mountains.

Lithotectonic elements and geological events in the Hengshan-Wutai-Fuping belt: A synthesis and implications for the evolution of the Trans-North China Orogen [PDF]
The Hengshan-Wutai-Fuping belt is located in the middle segment of the Trans-North China Orogen, a Palaeoproterozoic continental collisional belt along which the Eastern and Western blocks amalgamated to form the North China Craton.
