Topical timolol for treatment of persistent granulation tissue in the setting of severe hidradenitis suppurativa [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a potentially debilitating dermatological disease that negatively impacts patients' quality of life. Severe cases can be further complicated by persistent granulation tissue at the ostia of sinus tracts, which may prove ...

Functional and Structural Evidence of Neurofluid Circuit Aberrations in Huntington Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Disrupted neurofluid regulation may contribute to neurodegeneration in Huntington disease (HD). Because neurofluid pathways influence waste clearance, inflammation, and the distribution of central nervous system (CNS)–delivered therapeutics, understanding their dysfunction is increasingly important as targeted treatments emerge.

Photothermal therapy via a gold nanoparticle-coated stent for treating stent-induced granulation tissue formation in the rat esophagus

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Minimally invasive therapies using stent technology are currently limited by stent-induced granulation tissue formation adjacent to the stent. The effectiveness of photothermal therapy (PTT) using a gold nanoparticle (AuNP)-coated stent for treating ...

Therapie chronischer Wunden mit wassergefiltertem Infrarot A (wIRA) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The central portion of chronic wounds is often hypoxic and relatively hypothermic, representing a deficient energy supply of the tissue, which impedes wound healing or even makes it impossible.

Topical application of Mitomycin C in the treatment of granulation tissue after Canal Wall Down mastoidectomy [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Otorhinolaryngology, 2013
Introduction: Otorrhea and granulation tissue in Canal Wall Down mastoidectomy (CWD) is the common problem in cholesteatoma removal and leads to many discomfort for both the patient and the physician. The main objective in CWD is creating the dry cavity,
