P-T Conditions of Metamorphism and Fluid Inclusion Characteristics of the Coorg Granulites, Karnataka [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Charnockites and basic granulites occur extensively around Coorg in Western Ghats. Minor metasedimentary rocks like kyanite/sillimanite bearing gneisses and ironstone also occur. A set of late dolerite dykes cross cut all the lithologies.

Metamorphic evolution and zircon geochronology of early Proterozoic granulites in the Aravalli Mountains of Northwestern India

open access: yes, 2005
Granulites including a charnockite suite, mafic granulites, pelitic granulites, metanorite dykes and their retrograde varieties occur as discontinuous shear zone-bounded bodies within the Archaean basement comprising a granite gneiss-amphibolite ...

Eclogitization kinetics of continental granulites : quantification and implications

open access: yes, 2020
International audienceWhen implicated in convergence zones, granulites of the lower continental crust are expected to eclogitize at depth. When exposed in the field such units show a bimodal rheological behavior between fracturing of the protolith rock ...

Brittle Structural Control and Fluid Progress of the Jinqingding Gold Deposit: Implications for Epizonal Gold Mineralization

open access: yesActa Geologica Sinica - English Edition, Volume 100, Issue 3, Page 781-794, June 2026.
High‐grade orebodies are controlled by stress field with σ1 oriented NE‐SW during the main mineralization stage.Inferred NEE‐trending strike‐slip fault control another orebody distribution. ABSTRACT The Jinqingding gold deposit in eastern Jiaodong is a significant gold mineralization within the Muping–Rushan metallogenic belt.

Phase relationships in grunerite-garnet-bearing amphibolites in the systemCFMASH, with applications to metamorphic rocks from the Central Zone of the Limpopo Belt, South Africa.

open access: yes
A petrogenetic grid in the model system CaO–FeO–MgO–Al2O3–SiO2–H2O is presented, illustrating the phase relationships among the minerals grunerite, hornblende, garnet, clinopyroxene, chlorite, olivine, anorthite, zoisite and aluminosilicates, with quartz

Jadeite in Continental Subduction: Its Preservation, Breakdown and Pseudomorphic Replacement in Erzgebirge UHP Gneisses

open access: yesJournal of Metamorphic Geology, Volume 44, Issue 5, Page 376-393, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The absence of jadeite in regions where subduction of continental crust has been documented by other high‐pressure (HP) or ultrahigh‐pressure (UHP) minerals is striking. This study presents only the second discovery of jadeite in the crystalline rocks of the Erzgebirge, a region known for its occurrences of microdiamond, coesite and omphacite ...

Interior Rifting Coupled With Peripheral Subduction in the Rodinia Supercontinent: New Insights From the Tarim Craton

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 27, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract After assembly, supercontinents are shaped by internal rifting and peripheral subduction. However, the geodynamic relationship between these two processes and their respective contributions to supercontinent breakup remain poorly understood.

Mesoproterozoic reworking of palaeoproterozoic ultrahigh-temperature granulites in the Central Indian Tectonic Zone and its implications

open access: yes, 2005
In the southern periphery of the Sausar Mobile Belt (SMB), the southern component of the Central Indian Tectonic Zone (CITZ), a suite of felsic and aluminous granulites, intruded by gabbro, noritic gabbro, norite and orthopyroxenite, records the ...

Metamorphism and zircon U-Pb dating of high-pressure pelitic granulites from glacial moraines in the Grove Mountains, East Antarctica [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The Grove Mountains are an inland continuation of the Prydz Belt in East Antarctica. Detailed metamorphic petrological and zircon U-Pb geochronological studies are performed on the high-pressure (HP) pelitic granulites from glacial moraines in the Grove ...

Autocorrelation Seismic Imaging of Northern Taiwan Using Ambient Noise Data

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 131, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Over the past few million years, northern Taiwan records a tectonic history of subduction to arc–continent collision followed by post‐collisional collapse. This evolution motivates constraints on crustal structure, including crustal layering and thickness.
