Granuloma Annulare of the Eyelid
Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, 1996A superficial (dermal) granuloma annulare (GA) of the eyelid developed in a 69-year-old woman who initially had no evidence of precipitating causes, including trauma, tuberculosis, octopus bite, lupus vulgaris, actinic damage, sarcoidosis, diabetes mellitus, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, or rheumatic fever.

Subcutaneous Granuloma Annulare
Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, 1978In its typical clinical appearance of a circinate ring of individual or Central necrobiosis surrounded by palisading histiocytes (hematoxylin-eosin, ×100). confluent dermal papules, granuloma annulare is readily identified by the trained observer.

Granuloma Annulare in the Hand
Journal of Hand Surgery, 2002A review of our cases of granuloma annulare in the hand revealed that it presented as either an annular or subcutaneous lesion, most commonly on the dorsum of the metacarpophalangeal joint of the middle or ring fingers. Lesions were approximately 10 mm in diameter and the diagnosis was confirmed by surgical biopsy.

Perforating Granuloma Annulare
Archives of Dermatology, 1971Two patients had granuloma annulare which appeared as small nodular lesions with central umbilication on the hands and margins of the fingers. Histopathologic study showed perforation of the epidermis and release of the abnormal necrobiotic material transepithelially. This type of granuloma annulare is distinctive both clinically and histologically and

Granuloma annulare is a benign dermatosis with multiple clinical presentations and a common histologic picture, which is characterized by areas of degenerated collagen surrounded by palisading histiocytes. A case of granuloma annulare that presented as progressive, asymptomatic, symmetric truncal bands is described.

Of six cases of granuloma annulare of the face, three cases were not associated with lesions on the extremities or trunk. Histologic examination exhibited typical features of granuloma annulare. One patient's lesion was a recurrent solitary subcutaneous nodule.

Subcutaneous Granuloma Annulare
Seminars in Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery, 2007Subcutaneous granuloma annulare is a rare clinicopathologic variant of granuloma annulare, characterized by subcutaneous nodules that may appear alone or in association with intradermal lesions. The pathogenesis of this deep variant of granuloma annulare remains uncertain.

The role of biologics in the treatment of chronic granuloma annulare
International Journal of Dermatology, 2019Granuloma annulare (GA), a benign inflammatory skin disease, is considered a Th1‐type delayed hypersensitivity reaction. Localized GA is likely to resolve spontaneously, whereas disseminated GA (DGA) may persist for decades and can be resistant to ...

Three children, ages 3, 6, and 7, with a papular form of granuloma annulare occurring on their exposed skin, are reported. Contact with Culicoides furans suggests this biting gnat as the cause of their eruptions. All had an eosinophilia of from 6% to 10%, and the possibilities of either an allergic or a mechanical mechanism causing the eruption are ...
