Edge Weight Based Entropy of Different Topologies of Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
The measure or determination of uncertainty of a system is known as entropy. After the rich idea of entropy, it gains attraction and interest in graph theory, due to its applications in applied mathematical chemistry.

Translophagy—A potential link between autophagy impairment and translational errors

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neurodegenerative diseases are characterised by the accumulation of abnormal proteins and protein aggregates, but their origin often remains unknown. We propose that selective autophagy removes damaged protein‐making machinery, preventing errors during protein synthesis.

Low Entropy Sub-Networks Prevent the Integration of Metabolomic and Transcriptomic Data

open access: yesEntropy, 2020
The constantly and rapidly increasing amount of the biological data gained from many different high-throughput experiments opens up new possibilities for data- and model-driven inference.

Prospecting the protein design landscape

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review outlines the current state of various protein design approaches. We discuss the current possibilities enabled by recently released tools, highlight future avenues to pursue in protein design, and underscore the crucial role of key databases and resources for successful protein design workflows.

A network model of interpersonal alignment in dialog [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In dyadic communication, both interlocutors adapt to each other linguistically, that is, they align interpersonally. In this article, we develop a framework for modeling interpersonal alignment in terms of the structural similarity of the interlocutors ...

Dispersion entropy: A Measure of Irregularity for Graph Signals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
We introduce a novel method, called Dispersion Entropy for Graph Signals, $DE_G$, as a powerful tool for analysing the irregularity of signals defined on graphs.

Statistics and Calculation of Entropy of Dominating David Derived Networks

open access: yesComplexity, 2021
A graph’s entropy is a functional one, based on both the graph itself and the distribution of probability on its vertex set. In the theory of information, graph entropy has its origins.

A context‐dependent modulatory role for eIF6 in acquired resistance to vemurafenib in melanoma

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Acquired resistance to vemurafenib upregulates the translation factor eIF6 in melanoma cells. Silencing eIF6 in resistant cells reduces proliferation and partially restores drug sensitivity, whereas its overexpression increases sensitivity across melanoma lines regardless of BRAF status, via modulation of mTOR, S6K, and MAPK signaling.

Unsupervised Detection of Changes in Usage-Phases of a Mobile App

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
Under the fierce competition and budget constraints, most mobile apps are launched without sufficient tests. Thus, there exists a great demand for automated app testing.

Neutralization of the PTX3/CD44 axis suppresses TGF‐β1 signaling in kidney fibrosis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study investigates how the PTX3/CD44 axis promotes kidney fibrosis by activating TGF‐β1 signaling. We demonstrate that the neutralizing antibody WHC‐001 effectively inhibits this pathway, suppressing myofibroblast activation and partial epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT).
