Improving design grammar development and application through network-based analysis of transition graphs

open access: yesDesign Science, 2016
Design grammars enable the formal representation of a vocabulary and rules that describe how designs can be synthesized just as the grammar rules of a spoken language define how to formulate valid, i.e., grammatically correct, sentences.

Evaluation of therapeutic effects of D‐limonene following orchiopexy in the rat model of cryptorchidism

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
D‐limonene supplementation enhances testicular recovery following orchiopexy in a rat model of bilateral cryptorchidism. Treatment with D‐limonene reduces oxidative stress (↓MDA, ↑SOD, ↑GPx, ↑TAC), downregulates pro‐apoptotic proteins (↓TNF‐α, ↓BAX, ↓Caspase‐3), and upregulates anti‐apoptotic Bcl‐2 expression.

Constructing VEGGIE: Machine Learning for [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Context-sensitive graph grammar construction tools have been used to develop and study interesting languages. However, the high dimensionality of graph grammars result in costly effort for their construction and maintenance.

Nanostructured Deep Eutectic Systems in Healthcare: From Bioactive Solvents to Intelligent Biointerfaces, Wearables, and AI‐Driven Design

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Beyond the green solvent paradigm, this review redefines Deep Eutectic Systems (DES) as programmable supramolecular nanoassemblies. We survey their biomedical convergence: stabilizing thermolabile mRNA to enable cold chain‐free logistics, reshaping transdermal microneedle delivery, enabling long‐term wearables via eutectogels, and utilizing Generative ...

Conformational Switching and Graph Grammar: Abstract Models of Self-Assembly [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
models of self-assembly are mathematical models that capture the behavior of natural or artificial self-assembling systems. In 1995, conformational switching in self-assembling mechanical systems was introduced and an abstract model of self-assembling ...

Anti‐carbamylated fibrinogen autoantibodies of IgG and IgA isotypes contribute to a better prognostic stratification in very early rheumatoid arthritis: data from the French national ESPOIR cohort

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective To investigate the prevalence and longitudinal evolution of anti‐carbamylated fibrinogen antibodies (ACa‐Fib) of IgG and IgA isotypes in early rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and determine whether these antibodies provide additional diagnostic and prognostic information beyond anti‐cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies (anti‐CCP) and rheumatoid ...

Structural Commutation Relations for Stochastic Labelled Graph Grammar Rule Operators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We show how to calculate the operator algebra and the operator Lie algebra of a stochastic labelled-graph grammar. More specifically, we carry out a generic calculation of the product (and therefore the commutator) of time-evolution operators for any two

Phantom citations: An empirical study of non‐existent and unverifiable references in scholarly literature

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract The integrity of scholarly communication depends critically on the accuracy and verifiability of cited references. Citations enable readers to trace prior work, assess evidence, and situate new contributions within the existing literature. However, concerns have emerged regarding the presence of references in published papers that cannot be ...

Triple Patterns: Compact Specifications for the Generation of Operational Triple Graph Grammar Rules [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Triple Graph Grammars (TGGs) allow the specification of high-level rules modelling the synchronized creation of elements in two graphs related through a correspondence graph.
