Explicit Formulas for the Complexity of Networks Produced by New Duplicating Corona and Cartesian Product

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
One important algebraic invariant in networks is complexity. This invariant ensures the accuracy and dependability of the network. In this paper, we employ a combinatorial approach to determine the graph’s complexity. A fundamental set of building blocks

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

On invariants of hereditary graph properties

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2007
A hereditary property of graphs is a class \(\mathcal{P}\) of graphs that contains all isomorphs and subgraphs of its elements. Such a property is determined by its minimal forbidden graphs, those graphs that do not belong to \(\mathcal{P}\) but whose proper subgraphs all do.

On a New Graph Invariant by Y.Colin de Verdiere [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
In this note we introduce a new invariant for a graph defined by Y. Colin de Verdiere. This invariant μ(G) has the property that a graph G is planer if and only if μ(G) ≤ 3. μ(G) chararacterize the planer graph.

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

Model inversion of electrical engineering systems from bicausal bond graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper, the application of bicausal bond graphs for model inversion of typical electrical engineering systems is emphasised. Inverse models are particularly useful for the synthesis step of the system design process.

A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Thermodynamic Pathways of Nonequilibrium Solidification in Wire‐Arc Additive Manufacturing Fe‐Based Multicomponent Alloy Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Topological Complexity of Configuration Spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this thesis we study the homotopy invariant TC(X); the topological complexity of a space X. This invariant, introduced by Farber in [15], was originally motivated by a problem in Robotics; the motion planning problem.

On Laplacian-energy-like invariant of a graph [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Let G be a simple graph of order n, and let μ1≥μ2≥⋯≥μn=0 be the Laplacian spectrum of G. The Laplacian-energy-like invariant of G (LEL for short) is defined as LEL(G)=∑i=1n-1μi.
