Anchorage‐independent and faster growth in clonal population from UV‐irradiated NER‐deficient cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UV‐irradiated cells expressing a DDB2 mutant protein unable to interact with PCNA (DDB2PCNA‐) form clones able to grow without anchorage. Different experimental approaches reveal heterogeneity in cell cycle regulation and drug response within these clones, emphasizing the crucial role of the DDB2‐PCNA interaction in preventing cellular transformation ...

Eigenvector Distance-Modulated Graph Neural Network: Spectral Weighting for Enhanced Node Classification

open access: yesMathematics
Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) face significant challenges in node classification across diverse graph structures. Traditional message passing mechanisms often fail to adaptively weight node relationships, thereby limiting performance in both homophilic ...

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

A concrete realization of the slow-fast alternative for a semilinear heat equation with homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2018
We investigate the asymptotic behavior of solutions to a semilinear heat equation with homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. It was recently shown that the nontrivial kernel of the linear part leads to the coexistence of fast solutions decaying to 0 ...

On Fundamental Solution for Autonomous Linear Retarded Functional Differential Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
This document focuses attention on the fundamental solution of an autonomous linear retarded functional differential equation (RFDE) along with its supporting cast of actors: kernel matrix, characteristic matrix, resolvent matrix; and the Laplace ...

The Second Subconstituent of some Strongly Regular Graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This is a report on a failed attempt to construct new graphs that are strongly regular with no triangles. The approach is based on the assumption that the second subconstituent has an equitable partition with four parts.

Identifying gene expression signatures for risk stratification of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy in colorectal cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A novel signature integrating genome‐wide analysis with clinical factors predicts recurrence in stage II colorectal cancer and enables a new risk stratification to guide postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. Clinical risk stratification for postoperative recurrence in patients with pathological stage II (pStage II) colorectal cancer (CRC) is essential ...

SOME CHEMICAL TOPOLOGICAL INDICES FOR THE COPRIME GRAPH OF THE INTEGERS MODULO GROUP

open access: yesBarekeng
This paper delves into the exploration of the coprime graph of a finite group G, a graph with vertices representing all group elements. Vertices x and y are considered adjacent in ΓG if their orders are relatively prime.

Optimizing photoactivation of PA‐mCherry for optical pooled CRISPR screens

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Photoactivatable PA‐mCherry finds widespread use to optically tag individual cells. However, confocal 405 nm UV laser‐scanning (normal scan) is much less efficient than widefield UV illumination, limiting the use of PA‐mCherry on confocal instruments. We remedy this limitation by reporting that rapid and repeated confocal scanning with a low‐intensity,
