ViAGraph : a Tool for Graph Visualization and Analysis [PDF]
Graphs are common representations that can capture the structure and then can model a wide range of data and knowledge. In this paper, we present and discuss the functionalities of ViAGraph a tool for graph visualization and analysis.

Graph Drawing Techniques for Geographic Visualization [PDF]
Geovisualizers often need to represent data that consists of items related together. Such data sets can be abstracted to a mathematical structure, the graph.

Aesthetic discrimination of graph layouts
525552This paper addresses the following basic question: given two layouts of the same graph, which one is more aesthetically pleasing? We propose a neural network-based discriminator model trained on a labeled dataset that decides which of two layouts ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Obesity raises blood levels of PAI‐1, a protein linked to metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease in people with obesity. In female mice fed a high‐fat diet, partially lowering PAI‐1 led to smaller subcutaneous fat cells and lower liver cholesterol, without changing body weight or insulin sensitivity.

Drawing Graphs on a Smartphone
We present a system for the visualization of information modeled in terms of a graph on a smartphone. First, we show the adopted visualization paradigm, that allows the user to navigate the graph using a focus-based approach.

Emerging experimental and computational methods for studying redox‐regulated structural transitions
Redox reactions can reshape proteins and alter how they behave in cells, with important consequences for health and disease. This review explores emerging experimental and computational approaches for discovering these redox‐sensitive protein switches, revealing their structural effects, and predicting their behavior, opening new opportunities to ...
