Graphical t-wise balanced designs

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 1983
AbstractA pair (X, B) will be a t-wise balanced design (tBD) of type t−(v, K, λ) if B = (Bi: i ϵ I) is a family of subsets of X, called blocks, such that: (i) |X| = v ϵ N, where N is the set of positive integers; (ii) 1⩽t⩽|Bi|ϵK⊆N, for every i ϵ I; and (iii) if T ⊆ X, |T| = t, then there are λ ϵ N indices i ϵ I where T ⊆ Bi.

Therapeutic applications of a novel humanized monoclonal antibody targeting chemokine receptor CCR9 in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
C–C chemokine receptor type 9 (CCR9) is an immune checkpoint in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Novel anti‐CCR9 antibody SRB2 was evaluated in combination with cytotoxic chemotherapy in PDAC cells, patient‐derived organoids, patient‐derived xenografts, and humanized mouse models.

BMP antagonist CHRDL2 enhances the cancer stem‐cell phenotype and increases chemotherapy resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Overexpression of CHRDL2 in colon cancer cells makes them more stem‐like and resistant to chemo‐ and radiotherapy. CHRDL2‐high cells have upregulation of the WNT pathway, genes involved in the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT). This leads to quicker repair of damaged DNA and more cell migration.

Investigating the socio-constructivist dimension of online interactions: the case of synchronous audio-graphic conferencing systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This study explores the quality of interactive patterns in audio-graphic conferencing environments and learners' involvement in interaction. Supporters of this technology claim that online interactions support socio-constructivist language learning ...
