Adaptive Graphical Model Network for 2D Handpose Estimation

open access: yes, 2023
In this paper, we propose a new architecture called Adaptive Graphical Model Network (AGMN) to tackle the task of 2D hand pose estimation from a monocular RGB image.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

High dimensional graphical model for categorical variables

open access: yes, 2017
We propose a graphical model associated with categorical variables and study the problem of structure learning for this model. The model is a natural generalization of Ising model and the learning method is based on neighborhood selection by multinomial ...

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

A Novel Approach to Deducing of the Data- PAPR Relation for OFDM System

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Sustainable Development, 2012
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a very attractive technique for high-data-rate transmission in wireless and wired applications. The main drawback of the OFDM technique is its high peak to average power ratio (PAPR).

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Nested sampling for Potts models

open access: yes, 2006
Nested sampling is a new Monte Carlo method by Skilling [1] intended for general Bayesian computation. Nested sampling provides a robust alternative to annealing-based methods for computing normalizing constants.

Single‐cell gene regulatory network analysis for mixed cell populations

open access: yesQuantitative Biology
Gene regulatory network (GRN) refers to the complex network formed by regulatory interactions between genes in living cells. In this paper, we consider inferring GRNs in single cells based on single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) data.
