We propose specially designed gradually changing-period phase grating (GCPPG) and used it to monitor the orbital angular momentum (OAM) light beam. Based on GCPPG, zero-order diffraction can be eliminated, and the diffraction power can be concentrated to

Two-axis bend measurement with Bragg gratings in multicore optical fiber [PDF]
We describe what is to our knowledge the first use of fiber Bragg gratings written into three separate cores of a multicore fiber for two-axis curvature measurement.

Dual-Channel Light Intensity Modulation Method for Focusing in Projection Lithography
Focusing technique is the key factor in improving the resolution of projection lithography. In order to achieve high accuracy of focusing on the nanometer level, we present a focusing method based on dual-channel light intensity modulation.

Laser interference lithography with highly accurate interferometric alignment [PDF]
Three dimensional photonic crystals, e.g. for obtaining the so-called woodpile structure, can, among others, be fabricated by vertical stacking of multiple gratings. One of the requirements for obtaining a full photonic bandgap in such a photonic crystal

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Optical security device for document protection using plasmon resonant transmission through a thin corrugated metallic film embedded in a plastic foil [PDF]
The well known resonant or extraordinary transmission through an undulated metallic thin film embedded in a dielectric layer using the Plasmon modes excitation under normal incidence is industrially exploited for document protection applications.

Inverse Scattering for Gratings and Wave Guides
We consider the problem of unique identification of dielectric coefficients for gratings and sound speeds for wave guides from scattering data. We prove that the "propagating modes" given for all frequencies uniquely determine these coefficients.

The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...
