Generalization of Einstein’s gravitational field equations

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2017
The Riemann tensor is the cornerstone of general relativity, but as is well known it does not appear explicitly in Einstein’s equation of gravitation. This suggests that the latter may not be the most general equation. We propose here for the first time,

A Quantum Framework for Protein Binding‐Site Structure Prediction on Utility‐Level Quantum Processors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a hybrid quantum‐classical framework for accurate prediction of protein structures on utility‐level quantum processors. We evaluate the practical application of the Variational Quantum Eigen‐solver (VQE) in protein structure prediction and demonstrate its superiority over state‐of‐the‐art deep learning methods in molecular docking ...

Massive scalar counterpart of gravitational waves in scalarized neutron star binaries

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2017
In analogy with spontaneous magnetization of ferromagnets below the Curie temperature, a neutron star (NS), with a compactness above a certain critical value, may undergo spontaneous scalarization and exhibit an interior nontrivial scalar configuration ...

Single‐Target Pairing System (StarPair) for Large‐Scale Interrogation of Cell–Cell Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a single‐target pairing system, StarPair, enabling cell–cell interaction studies by target combination in droplets. StarPair offers superior pairing efficiencies over 95% and operation frequencies of 105 pairs per 9.5 h for two‐target pairing, allowing large‐scale interrogation of immune cell‐cancer cell interactions and precise ...

Preservation of Complex Multiphase Architectures in Polymer‐Based Artificial Cells by Photo‐Crosslinking

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phase separation organizes cellular components, yet stabilizing such dynamic structures in artificial cells remains challenging. A photo‐crosslinking approach is presented that prolongs the lifetime of different structures in coacervate‐based artificial cells while maintaining dynamic formation.

The problem of creating three-dimensional density models of geological objects based on solving a two-dimensional gravimetry problem

open access: yesВестник Камчатской региональной ассоциации "Учебно-научный центр". Серия: Науки о Земле
Gravitational field inversion technologies aimed at creating three-dimensional detailed models of the real geological environment are constantly being improved, but the basic principles of solving inverse problems remain unchanged, violation of which ...

Real‐Time In Vivo Monitoring of Anastomotic Intestinal Ischemia Using Implantable Resorbable Organic Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Resorbable impedance sensors are successfully implanted into porcine small intestinal anastomoses. Impedance was recorded for 2 hours prior, and 2 hours following ischemia induction, and a significant drop in tissue impedance was observed. Abstract Anastomotic failure remains one of the most severe complications in gastrointestinal surgery.
