Autonomous Locomotion of Tensegrity Structure on Low‐Temperature Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A low‐temperature responsive tensegrity structure (LRTS) is constructed by integrating low‐responsive temperature liquid crystal elastomer (LCE) cables, nonresponsive cables, and stiff rods. The low phase transition temperature of LCE is achieved by introducing a new liquid crystal mesogen.

Gravitational Faraday holonomy

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
Closed optical trajectories in Kerr spacetime are engineered to exhibit a marked lack of symmetry. The eccentricity manifests as a holonomy in gravitational Faraday rotation that can be made arbitrarily large by radial translation of the common location ...

Gait Analysis of Pak Biawak: A Necrobot Lizard Built using the Skeleton of an Asian Water Monitor (Varanus Salvator)

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Pak Biawak, a necrobot, embodies an unusual fusion of biology and robotics. Designed to repurpose natural structures after death, it challenges conventional boundaries between nature and engineering. Its movements are precise yet unsettling, raising questions about sustainability, ethics, and the untapped potential of biointegrated machines.

Leveraging Transfer Learning to Overcome Data Limitations in Czochralski Crystal Growth

open access: yesAdvanced Theory and Simulations, EarlyView.
A data‐driven framework combining Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations and machine learning is proposed to model and optimize Czochralski crystal growth. Using different transfer learning strategies (Warm Start, Merged Training, and Hyperparameter Transfer) the study demonstrates improved predictions for Ge and GaAs growth from Si‐trained ...

Conformally related vacuum gravitational waves and their symmetries

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
A special conformal transformation which carries a vacuum gravitational wave into another vacuum one is built by using Möbius-redefined time. It can either transform a globally defined vacuum wave into a vacuum sandwich wave, or carry the gravitational ...

Tribo‐Charge Induced Wetting (TCW): A New Wettability Control Mechanism for Electric‐Free Droplet Manipulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tribo‐charge induced wetting (TCW) is introduced as an electric‐free mechanism for dynamic wettability modulation. TCW utilizes surface charges generated through contact electrification to modulate surface wettability via electrostatic induction across a dielectric layer.

Gravitational collapse in energy-momentum squared gravity: Nature of singularities

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
In this paper we explore a collapsing scenario in the background of energy-momentum squared gravity (EMSG). EMSG claims to have terms that originate from the quantum gravity effects mimicking loop quantum gravity.
