No conformal anomaly in unimodular gravity [PDF]
The conformal invariance of unimodular gravity survives quantum corrections, even in the presence of conformal matter. Unimodular gravity can actually be understood as a certain truncation of the full Einstein-Hilbert theory, where in the Einstein frame the metric tensor enjoys unit determinant.

Anomalies in covariant W-gravity
Abstract We consider free scalar matter covariantly coupled to background W-gravity. Expanding to second order in the W-gravity fields, we study the appropriate anomalous Ward-Takahashi identities and find the counterterms which maintain diffeomorphism invariance and its W-analogue. We see that a redefinition of the vielbein transformation rule under

Non‐Newtonian gravity or gravity anomalies? [PDF]
We emphasize the importance of gravity anomalies in interpreting geophysical data, which has indicated a deviation from the Newtonian inverse square law. In particular, we point out that gravity anomalies, if not accounted for properly, mimic non‐Newtonian behavior. On the other hand, omitting them provides a false signal contributing to the “fifth” or

Application of Radial Basis Functions for Height Datum Unification
Local gravity field modelling demands high-quality gravity data as well as an appropriate mathematical model. Particularly in coastal areas, there may be different types of gravity observations available, for instance, terrestrial, aerial, marine gravity,

Inversion of residual gravity anomalies using tuned PSO
. Many kinds of particle swarm optimization (PSO) techniques are now available and various efforts have been made to solve linear and non-linear problems as well as one-dimensional and multi-dimensional problems of geophysical data.

Causal Anomalies in Kaluza-Klein Gravity Theories [PDF]
Causal anomalies in two Kaluza-Klein gravity theories are examined, particularly as to whether these theories permit solutions in which the causality principle is violated. It is found that similarly to general relativity the field equations of the space-

Predicting Depth of Mineral Deposit using Gravity-Density Downward Correlation by Fourier Transform
Residual gravity anomalies are the superposition of effects originating from several interfaces in the subsurface. In downward projection of the anomalies for the determination of the depth of the particular substructure which accounts for the bulk of ...
