New Adaptive Control Methods for $n$-Link Robot Manipulators With Online Gravity Compensation: Design and Experiments

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2021
For robot manipulators subject to unmeasurable/uncertain plant parameters, this article designs a new adaptive motion controller, which ensures positioning errors to converge to zero and provides accurate gravity compensation.

Effects of partial fuel pump failure on center of gravity control for high-speed aircraft

AUS, 2016
Aircraft center of gravity control is an important technology to gain potential performance benefits. In-flight center of gravity control is usually based on a fuel transfer system which enables fuel to be transferred among fuselage fuel tanks and then ...

Polarization- and Frequency-Reconfigurable Patch Antenna Using Gravity-Controlled Liquid Metal

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2022
This letter presents a reconfigurable antenna that uses gravity to control the self-circulation of liquid metal (LM), thereby realizing an adaptive reconstruction method. Then the polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) structure with a square ring channel is loaded

Gravity-controlled gliding velocity in Loxodes

European Journal of Protistology, 1992
The locomotion of Loxodes as controlled by the natural gravity vector was investigated employing a mass-cell approach. Samples of cells were incubated for 4 hours in a 1.6 mm deep well (41 × 85 mm) filled with defined experimental solution. Their gliding locomotion on surfaces inclined between 0° and 90° was recorded by videocamera.

$$ gravity: Steepness control

2013
We investigate a simple generalization of the metric exponential $f(R)$ gravity theory that is cosmologically viable and compatible with solar system tests of gravity. We show that, as compared to other viable $f(R)$ theories, its steep dependence on the Ricci scalar $R$ facilitates agreement with structure constraints, opening the possibility of $f(R)$

Terraforming of Planets Through Gravity Control - Production of Gravity

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2021
This paper presents the cases of terraforming by gravity control and the case of production gravity. Using the prior work of the “Gravity Control” are determined the cases of terraforming a planet. Moreover, is presented the case of production gravity.

Hyopthetical Gravity Control and Possible Influence on Space Propulsion

, 2004
In nearly all concepts invoked or proposed to change or shield gravity it is intuitively assumed that manipulation of gravity automatically leads to a breakthrough for propulsion.

Different ferric dosing strategies could result in different control mechanisms of sulfide and methane production in sediments of gravity sewers.

Water Research, 2019
Ferric salt dosing is widely used to mitigate sulfide and methane emissions from sewers. In gravity sewers with sediments, responses of sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) and methanogenic archaea (MA) residing in different zones to Fe3+ dosing strategies ...

Position Control for Flexible Joint Robot Based on Online Gravity Compensation With Vibration Suppression

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2018
This paper presents a position control scheme for flexible joint robot based on online gravity compensation (OGC). After concluding some drawbacks of OGC-based PD control law, a nonlinear state feedback controller is designed, where analysis for ...

Gravity Controls for Windows

2012
This paper presents the concept and a prototype of "Gravity Controls". "Gravity Controls" makes standard Graphical User Interface (GUI) controls "magnetic" to allow overcoming impacts of motor problems (e.g. tremor of users leading to unsmooth movements and instable positioning of the cursor (e.g. for clicking or mouse over events).
