The Floor‐Ceiling‐Chip, or 2 × 2D = Pseudo‐3D—Approaching 3D Cell Morphology and Organization between Two Opposing 2D Substrates with Cell‐Adhesive Protein Micropatterns

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we present a novel 3D cell patterning and culture platform. The “Floor‐Ceiling‐Chip” (FC‐Chip) consists of two opposing track‐etched membranes, creating a pseudo‐3D microenvironment for the cells in between. By providing the membranes with micropatterned cell‐adhesive islands of varying geometries and sizes, the FC‐Chip enables control over cell ...

Targeting the ARRDC3–DRP1 Axis via hUMSC‐Derived Exosomal CRYAB for Neuroprotection in Cerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Intranasally administered hUMSC‐derived exosomes modulate the CRYAB–ARRDC3–Drp1 axis, alleviating mitochondrial dysfunction and ferroptosis, enhancing neuronal survival, reducing oxidative stress, and promoting functional recovery in ischemia‐reperfusion injury, offering a promising therapeutic strategy for ischemic stroke.

Plants and Graviperception [PDF]

open access: yesفناوری در مهندسی هوافضا, 2019
Plants have different mechanisms for understanding and responding to environmental stimuli cues. Gravity is one of the most important directional environmental cues to control growth direction, that plants can permanently adapt to it. Gravitropism can be

ATTITUDE DETERMINATION AND CONTROL SYSTEM OF KITSAT-1 [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 1996
The attitude dynamics of KITSAT-1 are modeled including the gravity gradient stabilization method. We define the operation scenario during the initial attitude stabilization period by means of a magnetorquering control algorithm. The required constraints

Friedmann’s universe controlled by Gauss-Bonnet modified gravity

open access: yesChinese Physics C
Abstract We consider a Lagrangian to describe gravity using a nonlinear term depending on the Gauss-Bonnet topological invariant. We examine the conditions for a bouncing and the existence of an ulterior accelerated phase of the universe. The original concept of Einstein's first paper on cosmology was to modify the equations that control
