Multiregional Models of Economic Interactions: Comparative Analysis
The article deals with the problems of measuring spatial multipliers on the basis of multiregional models of economic interactions. Two lines of comparative analysis of multiregional models are distinguished: 1) depending on the choice of trade ...

Assessing the Impact of SPS Regulations on U.S. Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exports
Sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) measures are not new, but their significance in international agrifood trade continues to grow. Much less is known about the trade-restricting potential of these measures because of the difficulty in identifying when SPS ...

THEORY OF GRAVITY "ENERGY-WAVE": THE ORIGIN [PDF]
In this paper I derive an equation relating the gravitational acceleration with the gravitational wavelength corresponding to the “gravitational energy” density at a point in space and with the speed of light, without using the gravitational constant of ...

Higher derivative gravity: Field equation as the equation of state
One of the striking features of general relativity is that the Einstein equation is implied by the Clausius relation imposed on a small patch of locally constructed causal horizon. Extension of this thermodynamic derivation of the field equation to more general theories of gravity has been attempted many times in the last two decades.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Nonperturbative evolution equation for quantum gravity [PDF]
A scale--dependent effective action for gravity is introduced and an exact nonperturbative evolution equation is derived which governs its renormalization group flow. It is invariant under general coordinate transformations and satisfies modified BRS Ward--Identities. The evolution equation is solved for a simple truncation of the space of actions.
