External field effect in gravity [PDF]
In both Newtonian gravity and Einstein gravity there is no force on a test particle located inside a spherical cavity cut out of a static, spherically symmetric mass distribution. Inside the cavity exterior matter is decoupled and there is no external field effect that could act on the test particle.

Multifield mimetic gravity [PDF]
In this paper, we extend the mimetic gravity to the multi-field setup with a curved field space manifold. The multi-field mimetic scenario is realized via the singular limit of the conformal transformation between the auxiliary and the physical metrics.

Some aspects of reconstruction using a scalar field in f (T ) Gravity [PDF]
General relativity characterizes gravity as a geometric property exhibited on spacetime by massive objects while teleparallel gravity achieves the same results, at the level of equations, by taking a torsional perspective of gravity.

On the Energy-Momentum Tensor of the Scalar Field in Scalar--Tensor Theories of Gravity [PDF]
We study the dynamical description of gravity, the appropriate definition of the scalar field energy-momentum tensor, and the interrelation between them in scalar-tensor theories of gravity.

GRACE—Gravity Data for Understanding the Deep Earth’s Interior
While the main causes of the temporal gravity variations observed by the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) space mission result from water mass redistributions occurring at the surface of the Earth in response to climatic and anthropogenic ...

Gravitational instability of exotic compact objects
Exotic compact objects with physical surfaces a Planckian distance away from where the horizon would have been are inspired by quantum gravity. Most of these objects are defined by a classical spacetime metric, such as boson stars, gravastars and ...

Gravity from topological field theory [PDF]
We construct a topological field theory which, on the one hand, generalizes BF theories in that there is non-trivial coupling to `topological matter fields'; and, on the other, generalizes the three-dimensional model of Carlip and Gegenberg to arbitrary dimensional manifolds.

TGF: A New MATLAB-Based Software for Terrain-Related Gravity Field Calculations
With knowledge of geometry and density-distribution of topography, the residual terrain modelling (RTM) technique has been broadly applied in geodesy and geophysics for the determination of the high-frequency gravity field signals.
