Gray matter axonal connectivity maps. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Structural brain connectivity is generally assessed through methods that rely on pre-defined regions of interest (e.g. Brodmann’s areas), thus preventing analyses that are largely free from a-priori anatomical assumptions.

Ermin positive cell density in MS gray matter lesions. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
(A) Myelin proteolipid protein (PLP) stained tissue section (** represents remyelinated area, demyelinated area is represented by ##); the insertion A1 shows an area of complete demyelination in gray matter. The insertion A2 shows partial remyelination. (

Gray matter microstructure differences in autistic males: A gray matter based spatial statistics study

open access: yesNeuroImage: Clinical, 2023
Background: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex neurodevelopmental condition. Understanding the brain’s microstructure and its relationship to clinical characteristics is important to advance our understanding of the neural supports underlying ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Between-group differences in gray matter volume. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Multiple cortical and subcortical regions were identified to show gray matter atrophy in ESRD patients compared to HCs. Of note, no significant correlations were observed between nodal efficiency decreases and GM gray matter atrophy in the patients (P ...

Gray matter alterations and correlation of nutritional intake with the gray matter volume in prediabetes

open access: yesMedicine, 2016
The neurophysiology of prediabetes plays an important role in preventive medicine. The dysregulation of glucose metabolism is likely linked to changes in neuron-related gray matter. Therefore, we designed this study to investigate gray matter alterations in medication-naive prediabetic patients.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
