We present a phenomenological Green's function to characterize the superconducting and pseudogap phases of the cuprates based on a microscopic theory of doped Mott insulators.

The anabolic steroid stanozolol is a potent inhibitor of human MutT homolog 1
MutT homolog 1 (MTH1) is a member of the NUDIX superfamily of enzymes and is an anticancer drug target. We show that stanozolol (Stz), an anabolic steroid, is an unexpected nanomolar inhibitor of MTH1. The X‐ray crystal structure of the human MTH1–Stz complex reveals a unique binding scaffold that could be utilized for future inhibitor development ...

Analytical study of non-linear transport across a semiconductor-metal junction
In this paper we study analytically a one-dimensional model for a semiconductor-metal junction. We study the formation of Tamm states and how they evolve when the semi-infinite semiconductor and metal are coupled together.

A Lagrangian for mass dimension one fermionic dark matter
The mass dimension one fermionic field associated with Elko satisfies the Klein–Gordon but not the Dirac equation. However, its propagator is not a Green's function of the Klein–Gordon operator.

Tuberculosis remains a global health challenge and new therapeutic targets are required. Here, we characterized SseA, a sulfurtransferase from Mycobacterium tuberculosis involved in macrophage infection, and its interaction with the newly identified protein SufEMtb that activates SseA enzymatic activity.

Self-Consistent Green's Function Theory for Atomic Nuclei
Nuclear structure theory has recently gone through a major renewal with the development of ab initio techniques that can be applied to a large number of atomic nuclei, well-beyond the light sector that had been traditionally targeted in the past.

This work presents the characterization of MvoDUF2193, a Methanococcus voltae (Mvo) protein from the domain of unknown function (DUF) 2193 family. We demonstrate that MvoDUF2193 binds a single [4Fe–4S] cluster per subunit and that cluster occupancy regulates the transition from an apo tetramer to a [4Fe–4S] monomeric form. This structural transition is

ERBIN limits epithelial cell plasticity via suppression of TGF‐β signaling
In breast and lung cancer patients, low ERBIN expression correlates with poor clinical outcomes. Here, we show that ERBIN inhibits TGF‐β‐induced epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in NMuMG breast and A549 lung adenocarcinoma cell lines. ERBIN suppresses TGF‐β/SMAD signaling and reduces TGF‐β‐induced ERK phosphorylation.

Effective calculation of the Green's function in the time domain on near-term quantum processors
We propose an improved quantum algorithm to calculate the Green's function through real-time propagation, and use it to compute the retarded Green's function for the two-, three-, and four-site Hubbard models.
