Escape from TGF‐β‐induced senescence promotes aggressive hallmarks in epithelial hepatocellular carcinoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting

ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Solution of a boundary value problem for a third-order inhomogeneous equation with multiple characteristics with the construction of the Green’s function

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы
In the paper the second boundary value problem in a rectangular domain for an inhomogeneous third-order partial differential equation with multiple characteristics with constant coefficients was considered.

Time, the final frontier

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This article advocates integrating temporal dynamics into cancer research. Rather than relying on static snapshots, researchers should increasingly consider adopting dynamic methods—such as live imaging, temporal omics, and liquid biopsies—to track how tumors evolve over time.

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

A Novel Hybrid Analytic-Numerical Algorithm for Scattering from a 3-D Coated Target above a PEC Rough Surface

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation
A novel hybrid algorithm combining the 3-D vector finite element method-boundary integral method (FEM-BIM) with the half-space Green’s function with the rough-surface interface is developed in this paper to study the scattering from a 3-D coated target ...

Simplified Topological Invariants for Interacting Insulators

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2012
We propose general topological order parameters for interacting insulators in terms of the Green’s function at zero frequency. They provide a unified description of various interacting topological insulators including the quantum anomalous Hall ...
