Signaling with Green Bonds: The Role of Green Bond Exchanges in Europe

open access: yes, 2022
A key challenge in further developing the green bond market is establishing the “green credibility” of such bonds. While a number of studies have investigated the effectiveness of third-party certification as a credibility signal, little scholarly attention has been dedicated to green bond exchanges.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Do the Green Bonds Markets React to Political Uncertainty and Financial Stress Alike?

open access: yesScientific Annals of Economics and Business
This study investigates the dynamic relationship between political uncertainty (EPU), financial stress, and green bond returns, utilizing the Range-DCC GARCH model and wavelet coherence analysis.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

BANK GREEN TRANSITION OR GREENWASHING? HOW TRULY GREEN ARE THE PROJECTS FINANCED BY GREEN BONDS ISSUED BY EUROPEAN BANKS?

open access: yesJournal of Financial Management, Markets and Institutions
Banks play a pivotal role in supporting the real economy throughout the transition toward a more environmentally sustainable model. Among the initiatives available to them, the issuance of green bonds represents a concrete means of demonstrating a ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Green Bonds: The Impact of Green Bonds Certification on Bond Yields

open access: yes
This paper investigates the effect of green bond certification on bond yields. Using a multiple linear regression model estimated via Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), the analysis is based on a sample of 238 bonds issued between 2015 and 2025. We find a positive relationship between certified green bonds and yield, implying that certified green bonds have

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...
