QCD Short-distance Constraints and Hadronic Approximations

open access: yes, 2003
This paper discusses a general class of ladder resummation inspired hadronic approximations. It is found that this approach naturally reproduces many successes of single meson per channel saturation models (e.g. VMD) and NJL based models.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

5G green cellular networks considering power allocation schemes

open access: yes, 2015
It is important to assess the effect of transmit power allocation schemes on the energy consumption on random cellular networks. The energy efficiency of 5G green cellular networks with average and water-filling power allocation schemes is studied in ...

Green laser diodes with channelled-substrateplanar waveguide structure

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1995
The first II-VI index guided inner stripe laser diodes grown by one-step molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) on a structured GaAs substrate have been fabricated. The laser, operating at a wavelength of 512 nm, consists of a ZnCdSe/ZnSSe/ZnMgSSe single quantum-well (SQW) separate-confinement heterostructure (SCH) grown on a 6 µm wide channelled substrate ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

The Impacts of Green Innovation Input and Channel Service in a Dual-Channel Value Chain [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, 2019
This paper constructs a dual-channel value chain composed of one altruistic manufacturer and one altruistic retailer, where the manufacturer makes green innovation input for green products and sells its green products to its customers through both the direct channel and the traditional channel, the retailer provides channel service for customers and ...

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Universally Near Optimal Online Power Control for Energy Harvesting Nodes

open access: yes, 2016
We consider online power control for an energy harvesting system with random i.i.d. energy arrivals and a finite size battery. We propose a simple online power control policy for this channel that requires minimal information regarding the distribution ...
