Green liquor pretreatment for improving enzymatic hydrolysis of corn stover
Bioresource Technology, 2012Green liquor consists of sodium carbonate and sodium sulfide and is readily available in any kraft mills. The green liquor pretreatment process for bioethanol production was developed for wood chips. This process uses only proven technology and equipment currently used in a kraft pulp mill and has several additional advantages such as high sugar ...

Green Toughness Modifier from Downstream Corn Oil in Improving Poly(lactic acid) Performance
ACS Applied Polymer Materials, 2019A green multifunctional toughness modifier for poly(lactic acid) (PLA) was successfully synthesized from the derivatives of downstream corn oil (a coproduct of bioethanol industry) and itaconic acid.

Corn Earworm and Green Cloverworm Control in Soybeans, 1986
Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1988Abstract Essex' soybean was planted on 20 May in 30-inch rows in a commercial field near Royal Oak, Talbot County, Md. Plots were 10 × 15 ft, replicated 3 times, and arranged in a randomized complete block design. At the time of treatment on 27 Aug the plants were in the pod fill stage.

Corn Earworm and Green Cloverworm Control in Soybean, 1980
Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1982Abstract Nine insecticides were evaluated to determine their efficacy in controlling corn earworms and green cloverworms. Insecticides were applied on Aug 29 on ‘Essex’ soybean grown on the Harold Delano Farm in Richmond County near Warsaw, VA. Individual plots were 4 rows 50 ft long spaced 2.5 ft apart.

Corn Earworm and Green Cloverworm Control in Soybean, 1981
Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1982Abstract Nine insecticides were evaluated to determine their effects on corn earworms, green cloverworms and arthropod predators. Insecticides were applied on Sep 3 on ‘Bay’ soybean grown on the Earl Vaughn Farm in Richmond County near Warsaw, VA. Individual plots were rows 30 ft long ahd spaced 2.5 ft apart.

A nondestructive method to monitor leaf greenness in corn
Canadian Journal of Plant Science, 1991A portable chlorophyll meter was calibrated with extractable chlorophyll measurements from six corn (Zea mays L.) hybrids, and the utility of the meter in identifying differences in leaf greenness was assessed in growth-cabinet and field studies. A single linear regression described the relationship between meter readings and extractable chlorophyll ...
