Genome mining of atypical condensation (C) domains leads to the discovery of myxoglucamides, glycolipopeptides featuring an unprecedented vinyl‐substituted, α‐oxidized γ‐amino acid. Biosynthetic studies reveal a discrete C‐domain‐like O‐acyltransferase, a β‐hydroxylation‐dependent chain‐extension checkpoint, and an unusual pathway for γ‐amino acid ...

Ultrastable Self‐Cross‐linkable Electro‐Optic Materials Based on a Bisanthracene Scaffold
A novel bisanthracene‐based self‐cross‐linkable electro‐optic chromophore (TD2) is developed. TD2 exhibits a high r33 of 141 pm/V and a cross‐linked Tg up to 195 °C, retaining 99.75% of its initial EO response after 500 h at 85 °C, showing record‐high thermal stability for single‐molecule self‐cross‐linking EO materials.

Remapping the Synthetic Landscape of α‐Tertiary Alkylamines via Dual‐Functional Catechol
A three‐component assembly strategy has been developed for the modular synthesis of hindered α‐tertiary aliphatic amines from readily available precursors through unlocking the dual role of catechol. The practicality of this methodology has been demonstrated in over 90 examples, including compounds that are otherwise difficult to access, along with ...

A metal‐ and oxidant‐free electrochemical multicomponent di‐functionalization strategy that rapidly converts 1,1‐disubstituted alkenes into α‐tertiary primary amines with simultaneous installation of bio‐relevant sulfur or selenium motifs was devised for late‐stage functionalization. ABSTRACT Quaternary carbon centers, especially those bearing nitrogen,
