Iron Enriched Green Manure Can Increase Wheat Fe Concentration in Pb-polluted Soil in the Presence of Piriformospora Indica (P.indica)

Soil & sediment contamination, 2020
Soil pollution with heavy metals and iron (Fe) malnutrition is big concern of industrial areas in arid and semi-arid regions. We studied the potential of Fe-enriched green manures application and Piriformospora indica (P.indica) to increase grain Fe ...

Cover/Green Manure Cropping

2017
The cover/green manure crops can be considered as the backbone for any annual cropping system to be sustainable. They are responsible for sustainable farming because of enhancement of organic matter, improvement of soil structure, nitrogen fixation, nutrient enhancement, rooting action, soil and water conservation, soil microbial activity, and pest ...

Green Manuring and Composting

1964
From what has been said previously it is evident that organic matter in the soil is of the utmost agricultural importance. The colloidal properties of organic matter affect soil tilth and structure, regulate water relations and improve the base exchange capacity of soils.

Green manures in potato rotations

American Potato Journal, 1934
From the evidence at hand it seems to be a practical procedure to use non-legumes as green manures for potatoes. Non-egumes can be grown on soils at a pH of 5.5 or lower more successfully than legumes. A rotation can be arranged which, according to our present knowledge will escape danger of wire worms and grubs.
