Greenhouse gases and greenhouse effect
Environmental Geology, 2008Conventional theory of global warming states that heating of atmosphere occurs as a result of accumu- lation of CO2 and CH4 in atmosphere. The writers show that rising concentration of CO2 should result in the cool- ing of climate. The methane accumulation has no essential effect on the Earth's climate.

Pondering Greenhouse Policy [PDF]
In his article An optimal transition path for controlling greenhouse gases', William D Nordhaus takes a giant methodological step forward. His dynamic integrated climate-economy (DCIE) model couples my and Starley Thompson's globally averaged climate model with economic dynamics in order to evaluate the economic efficiency of different carbon tax ...

Effect of the Greenhouse Whitefly on Yields of Greenhouse Tomatoes12
Journal of Economic Entomology, 1972Trialeurodes vaporariorum (Westwood) significantly reduced yields of greenhouse tomatoes. Plants were sprayed with endosulfan 50 wettable powder, 0.06% active ingredients, at 5-, 10-, and 15-day intervals or were left untreated during the growth of a spring crop. Number of fruits and weight per fruit were recorded from clusters 2–10. Yields from plants

Environmental Science & Technology, 1982
The climate change induced by man-made releases of carbon dioxide and other trace gases is discussed. The level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased from an estimated 293 ppm in 1880 to 335 ppm in 1980, due mainly to the increased use of fossil fuels. That level is expected to double in the next century.

Scientific American, 2009
The article discusses the release of greenhouse gases by the cattle farming industry. The generation of 13 times the amount of greenhouse gases by raising cattle compared with chicken is mentioned, noting that cattle farming generates 57 times more greenhouse gases than growing potatoes. The opinion that individuals in the U.S.
