Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

A Multi-coloured survey of NGC 253 with XMM-Newton

open access: yes, 2007
There is a large body of work that has used the excellent Chandra observations of nearby galaxies with neglible low mass X-ray binary (LMXB) populations. This has culminated in a ``Universal'' X-ray luminosity function (XLF) for high mass X-ray binaries (

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Spatial heterogeneity of greening and browning between and within bioclimatic zones in northern West Siberia

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Letters, 2016
Studies of the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) have found broad changes in vegetation productivity in high northern latitudes in the past decades, including increases in NDVI (‘greening’) in tundra regions and decreases (‘browning’) in ...

Investigating the cell of origin and novel molecular targets in Merkel cell carcinoma: a historic misnomer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Sustainable development on a basis of greening of production-consumption cycle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The "greening" of the economy implies a targeted process of economic transformation aimed at reduction of ecological impact on the environment. The concept of greening is realized through a system of organized measures, innovations, restructuring ...
