Modeling and Control of Grid Forming Converters: A Systematic Review
In electrical power systems where the proportion of synchronous generators (SG) is gradually decreasing, grid-forming (GFM) converters need to be installed and controlled to meet all the system requirements that SGs have provided to date.

Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Simulation and application analysis of a hybrid energy storage station in a new power system
As the proportion of renewable energy infiltrating the power grid increases, suppressing its randomness and volatility, reducing its impact on the safe operation of the power grid, and improving the level of new energy consumption are increasingly ...

Angular Stability Analysis of Parallel Connected Grid-following PV Inverters
High penetration of distributed generators (DG) in modern power grids creates angle, voltage, and frequency instabilities. Most of the work in the literature has focused on small-signal stability analysis of single grid-connected inverters without thoroughly investigating their transient stability for large disturbances and interactions between ...

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Identified through the use of statistical design of experiments and metallographic investigation, this study exposes the stochastic origins of intergranular cracks in blown powder laser beam directed energy deposition additive manufacturing of pure molybdenum. It further demonstrates a successful crack mitigation approach with direct correlation to the

Dynamic Interaction and Stability Analysis of Grid-following Converter Integrated Into Weak Grid
The grid-connected converter with grid-following control (GCC-GFL) for renewable energy sources has a risk of instability when integrated into the weak grid. This paper aims to investigate the dynamic interactions and stability characteristics of the GCC-

Robust Spot Melting by 3D Spot Arrangements in Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion
This work proposes an approach to replace separately melted contours for spot melting in electron beam powder fusion. Adapting the spot arrangements close to the contour combined with stacking yields a comparable surface quality without the inherent challenges of separate contours, as demonstrated, by electron optical images and roughness measurements.

Small-Signal Model-Based Stability Analysis of Grid-Following/Grid-Forming Hybrid System
As the penetration rate of renewable energy continues to rise, the proportion of grid-following (GFL) inverters based on phase-locked loop synchronization is steadily increasing.
