Selective PQD Power Control Strategy for Single-Phase Grid-Following Inverters

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics
This paper proposes the selective PQD power control strategy based on proportional-integral controllers devised in stationary abc-reference frame for single-phase grid-following inverters. Its physical behavior and mathematical model are presented in detail and the system output impedance is derived.

Two‐Photon 3D Printing of Functional Microstructures Inside Living Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates 3D printing inside living cells by using two‐photon photo‐lithography. A bio‐compatible photoresist is injected into cells and selectively polymerized with a femtosecond laser, creating custom‐shaped intracellular structures with submicron resolution.

Large‐Area 2D Metasurface‐Based Triboelectric E‐Skin Arrays: Contact & Proximity Tactile Mapping with Broadband Acoustic Readouts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurface‐engineered NC‐TENG arrays integrate tactile pressure mapping, non‐contact gesture sensing, and acoustic signal readouts in one ultrathin module, and outperforms pristine PDMS in terms of electrical output and real‐time spatial mapping for next‐gen wearables.

Grid Forming Inverter as an Advanced Smart Inverter for Augmented Ancillary Services in a Low Inertia and a Weak Grid System Towards Grid Modernization

open access: yesClean Technologies
Grid dynamics and control mechanisms have improved as smart grids have used more inverter-based renewable energy resources (IBRs). Modern converter technologies try to improve converters’ capacities to compensate for grid assistance, but their inertia ...

Triggered Ferroelectricity in HfO2 From Hybrid Phonons and Higher‐Order Dynamical Charges

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We combine first‐principles calculations, LGD theory and group theory to demonstrate the mechanism of hybrid‐triggered ferroelectricity in HfO2${\rm HfO}_2$, enabled by trilinear and quadlinear couplings between stable polar and nonpolar modes. HfO2${\rm HfO}_2$ hosts unconventional interplay between structure modes where substantial contribution to ...

Anomalous Spin‐Optical Helical Effect in Ti‐Based Kagome Metal

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The kagome lattice hosts diverse correlated quantum states, including elusive loop currents. We report spin‐handedness selective signals in CsTi3Bi5, termed the anomalous spin‐optical helical effect, surpassing conventional spin responses. Arising from light helicity coupled to spin‐orbital correlations, this effect provides a sensitive, indirect probe

Self‐Regulating Sodium‐Ion Battery Materials: From Phase Reconstruction to Functional Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐regulating sodium‐ion batteries hinge on programmable phase behavior in layered oxides, interphases that renew without growth, and electrolytes that steer solvation and chemistry. This review distills mechanisms into design rules that span composition, site and entropy tuning, and self‐buffering anodes, linking operando evidence to choices and ...
