Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

A classification of emerging and traditional grid systems [PDF]
The grid has evolved in numerous distinct phases. It started in the early ’90s as a model of metacomputing in which supercomputers share resources; subsequently, researchers added the ability to share data.

A frequency-dependent virtual impedance approach to improving stability with grid-forming inverters [PDF]
Grid-forming inverters have gained significant attention for their ability to improve stability in weak and islanded power systems; however, the full extent of their potential benefits for the future bulk power system remains uncertain.

Grid Forming Inverter Power Control Stability Analysis
Stable system operation is being actively attempted by introducing grid-forming inverters (GFMs) which mimic synchronous generators (SGs). Although the introduction of GFMs intended to replace traditional grid-following inverters (GFLs) provides system ...

Control Strategy for Potential Vector Remolding Fault Ride-through in Grid-forming MMC [PDF]
[Objective] The operational characteristics of the grid-forming modular multilevel converter (MMC) in offshore wind power transmission systems under short-circuit faults in the receiving-end grid are unclear, and the interaction mechanism between fault ...
