Aqueous Two‐Phase Bioinks for Discrete Packing and Compartmentalization of 3D Bioprinted Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Aqueous two‐phase systems (ATPS) enable the formation of biomimetic interfaces crucial for tissue engineering. However, clinical translation remains limited by the challenge of precisely controlling cellular compartmentalization. Here, we developed ATPS biomaterial inks for 3D bioprinting allowing tuneable droplet formation via NaCl modulation.

Converter station selection method of urban VSC‐DC intertie for grid resilience enhancement

open access: yesHigh Voltage
The site selection of converter stations for voltage source converter‐based direct current (VSC‐DC) interties can significantly impact their control performance, particularly when both grid‐following control (GFL) and grid‐forming control (GFM) are ...

Interoperability Specifications for Multi-Vendor Converter-Dominated Grid: a Robust Stability Perspective

open access: yes
30033016Stability of multi-vendor power electronicsdominated grids requires proper specifications for converters interoperability, e.g. tuning boundaries for the converters’ control loops to be respected by all vendors. The confidentiality and variety of

Functional Blood‐Brain Barrier Crossing by Biomimetic M13 Phage Vectors for Targeted Neuronal Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the M13 bacteriophage as a biomimetic nanovector capable of crossing in vitro models of the blood–brain barrier. By exploiting peculiar transcellular pathways, M13 avoids lysosomal degradation and preserves its structural integrity and functionality.

Grid Forming Inverter as an Advanced Smart Inverter for Augmented Ancillary Services in a Low Inertia and a Weak Grid System Towards Grid Modernization

open access: yesClean Technologies
Grid dynamics and control mechanisms have improved as smart grids have used more inverter-based renewable energy resources (IBRs). Modern converter technologies try to improve converters’ capacities to compensate for grid assistance, but their inertia ...

Comparative analysis of grid forming and grid following converters in time domain and phasor domain form

open access: yes, 2020
The purpose of microgrids is to deliver distributed power in distribution network. Microgrids increase the performance and reliability of the whole system by providing grid support services during the normal operation and also in islanded mode.

Robust Stability Investigation of the Interactions Among Grid-Forming and Grid-Following Converters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
State-of-the-art grid-connected converters can be classified as “grid-following,” meaning that they require a dedicated synchronization unit in order to inject active and reactive currents into the grid.

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...
