Impedance-Based High Frequency Resonance Analysis of DFIG System in Weak Grids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The impedance-based model of Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) systems, including the rotor part (Rotor Side Converter (RSC) and induction machine), and the grid part (Grid Side Converter (GSC) and its output filter), has been developed for analysis ...

Quasi-Proportional Resonance Control of Grid-Connected Inverter Based on Grid Impedance

open access: yesZhongguo dianli, 2019
With the large-scale integration of renewable energy to the grid, the problem of sub/super-synchronous oscillations caused by the interaction of renewable energy grid-connected inverters with the grid has drawn great public attention.

Estimation of Frequency-Dependent Impedances in Power Grids by Deep LSTM Autoencoder and Random Forest

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
This paper proposes a deep-learning-based method for frequency-dependent grid impedance estimation. Through measurement of voltages and currents at a specific system bus, the estimate of the grid impedance was obtained by first extracting the sequences ...

Millimeter-wave diode-grid phase shifters [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
Monolithic diode grids have been fabricated on 2-cm square gallium-arsenide wafers with 1600 Schottky-barrier varactor diodes. Shorted diodes are detected with a liquid-crystal technique, and the bad diodes are removed with an ultrasonic probe.

Accurate Impedance Model of a Grid-Connected Inverter for Small-Signal Stability Assessment in High-Impedance Grids

open access: yesIEEJ Journal of Industry Applications, 2018
Power quality problems caused by grid-connected renewable energy inverters have been reported in recent literature. Excessive harmonics and interharmonics may arise when the inverter starts to interact with the grid impedance. Small-signal impedance models have been proven to be useful tools to analyze the stability margins.

Improving synchronization stability of grid connected converters by virtual impedance

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2021
With the increasing penetration of inverter based distributed generation, recent grid codes do not permit the disconnection of converters as soon as fault happens.

Explicit Impedance Modeling and Shaping of Grid-Connected Converters via an Enhanced PLL for Stabilizing the Weak Grid Connection

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
The voltage source converters (VSCs) are used to interface and control the renewable energy resources that are integrated into the power grids. However, a weak grid connection raises a stability problem for grid synchronization of the grid-feeding ...

Stability analysis of distributed generation grid-connected inverter

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
With the distributed new energy power generation increased, the power grid system becomes more and more complex, leading to its stability more likely to be affected. Among them, the resonance caused by impedance mismatch is particularly critical.

Real-Time Grid Impedance Estimation Using a Converter [PDF]

open access: yes2019 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2019
This paper presents two real-time methods for estimating the grid inductance and resistance using a three-phase converter. In the methods, a single-frequency rotating voltage signal with a small magnitude is injected to the converter voltage reference. The converter measures the currents and voltages at the point of common coupling (PCC).
