Natural production of the calorific value from poplar clones and socioeconomic aspects of its wider use in Slovakia

open access: yesScientific Annals of the Danube Delta Institute, 2018
The calorific value produced from the poplar clone stands’ above-ground biomass was derived from its volume production, and calculated by mathematical model growth tables of I214 and Robusta poplar clones’ biomass density and dry biomass calorific value.

Antimicrobial prescribing guidelines for horses in Australia

open access: yesAustralian Veterinary Journal, Volume 103, Issue 12, Page 781-889, December 2025.
The growing problem of antimicrobial resistance also affects equine veterinarians with increasing frequency. Antimicrobial stewardship and responsible prescribing are essential for a future in which effective antimicrobials are available, as it is unlikely that new antimicrobials will become available for use in horses.

Thermodynamic, Economic, and Environmental Evaluation of Municipal Waste Incinerator to Produce Power and Fresh Water

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 13, Issue 11, Page 5554-5565, November 2025.
ABSTRACT In this study, three waste‐to‐energy (WTE) operational scenarios, that is, electricity‐only production, fresh water‐only production, and combined electricity and fresh water generation, were evaluated using Thermoflow software. The assessment was conducted based on the thermodynamic, economic, and environmental performance of a municipal solid

Gross Calorific Value Estimation in Coal Using Multi-Model FTIR and Machine Learning Approach

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The Gross Calorific Value (GCV) is a key indicator used to assess the energy potential and quality of coal. Conventional oxygen bomb calorimetry, though widely used, is inherently time-consuming due to the combustion process involved.
