The Importance of Ground Control Points In A Photogrammetric Workflow
Abstract This study investigates the optimal distribution and pattern of ground control points (GCPs) in aerial photogrammetric projects. Aerial triangulation (AT), also known as bundle adjustment, is the fundamental step in refining 3D reconstruction models and camera positions, thereby minimizing reprojection errors.

Target Influence on Ground Control Points (GCPs) Identification in Aerial Images
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are used nowadays as a standard tool to derive very high-resolution geospatial data. However, UAV payload limitation imposes the use of not such reliable hardware affecting the georeferencing precision. In the literature it is possible to find numerous studies investigating the parameters influencing UAV-based products ...

Intake Ground Vortex Aerodynamics [PDF]
When an aircraft is operating in static or near static conditions during taxiing or take-o a vortex can form between the ground and the intake. With engine diameters increasing, intakes are moving non-dimensionally closer to the ground and as a ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Impacts of GCP Distributions on UAV-PPK Photogrammetry at Sermeq Avannarleq Glacier, Greenland
Real-Time/Post-Processing Kinematic (RTK/PPK) technology has been widely applied in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) photogrammetry in glaciological research. Considering that ground control points (GCPs) cannot be set on glaciers, evaluating the impacts of

Corridor Mapping of Sandy Coastal Foredunes with UAS Photogrammetry and Mobile Laser Scanning
Recurrent monitoring of sandy beaches and of the dunes behind them is needed to improve the scientific knowledge on their dynamics as well as to develop sustainable management practices of those valuable landforms.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

In DEM generation using interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR), the ground control points (GCPs) for refinement and reflattening are usually selected by manual selection, field surveying, GPS points and existing basemaps, which may not be ...
