Accurate disparity estimation in light field using ground control points [PDF]

open access: yesComputational Visual Media, 2016
The recent development of light field cameras has received growing interest, as their rich angular information has potential benefits for many computer vision tasks. In this paper, we introduce a novel method to obtain a dense disparity map by use of ground control points (GCPs) in the light field.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Impacts of GCP Distributions on UAV-PPK Photogrammetry at Sermeq Avannarleq Glacier, Greenland

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Real-Time/Post-Processing Kinematic (RTK/PPK) technology has been widely applied in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) photogrammetry in glaciological research. Considering that ground control points (GCPs) cannot be set on glaciers, evaluating the impacts of

PRECISE AERIAL IMAGE ORIENTATION USING SAR GROUND CONTROL POINTS FOR MAPPING OF URBAN LANDMARKS [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2019
Highly precise ground control points, which are globally available, can be derived from the SAR satellite TerraSAR-X. This opens up many new applications like for example the precise aerial image orientation.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Crosstalk between the ribosome quality control‐associated E3 ubiquitin ligases LTN1 and RNF10

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of the E3 ligase LTN1, the ubiquitin‐like modifier UFM1, or the deubiquitinating enzyme UFSP2 disrupts endoplasmic reticulum–ribosome quality control (ER‐RQC), a pathway that removes stalled ribosomes and faulty proteins. This disruption may trigger a compensatory response to ER‐RQC defects, including increased expression of the E3 ligase RNF10 ...

Generation of a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) Fusioning WV-2 Images and RTK-derived Topobathymetric Data

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Cartografia
Digital terrain models (DTMs) are digital elevation models (DEMs) that represent the bare ground surface. They are created by multiple sources, including satellite remote sensing, aerial photography, and ground-based surveys, and are often combined with
