ADAtools: Automatic Detection and Classification of Active Deformation Areas from PSI Displacement Maps

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2020
This work describes the set of tools developed, tested, and put into production in the context of the H2020 project Multi-scale Observation and Monitoring of Railway Infrastructure Threats (MOMIT). This project, which ended in 2019, aimed to show how the

Patterns of the ground states in the presence of random interactions: nucleon systems

open access: yes, 2004
We present our results on properties of ground states for nucleonic systems in the presence of random two-body interactions. In particular we present probability distributions for parity, seniority, spectroscopic (i.e., in the laboratory framework ...

High Healthcare Utilization Preceding Diagnosis with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Though early diagnosis improves long‐term outcomes, Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) patients often experience prolonged, circuitous paths to diagnosis. To inform diagnostic improvement, we sought to characterize healthcare utilization in the year preceding diagnosis.

Effect of Ground Plane Deformation on Electrical Performance of Air Microstrip Antennas

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2020
This paper covers the variation of electrical performance of air microstrip antennas due to its ground plane deformation. A typical sinusoidal function is utilized to characterize the shape of deformation, based on which different shapes of ground plane ...

The {\alpha}-Decay Chains of the $^{287, 288}115$ Isotopes using Relativistic Mean Field Theory

open access: yes, 2011
We study the binding energy, root-mean-square radius and quadrupole deformation parameter for the synthesized superheavy element Z = 115, within the formalism of relativistic mean field theory.

Remarks on monopole charge properties within the Generalized Coherent State Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The Generalized Coherent State Model, proposed previously for a unified description of magnetic and electric collective properties of nuclear systems, is used to study the ground state band charge density as well as the E0 transitions from $0^+_{\beta ...

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Existence of the D0-D4 Bound State: a detailed Proof

open access: yes, 2004
We consider the supersymmetric quantum mechanical system which is obtained by dimensionally reducing d=6, N=1 supersymmetric gauge theory with gauge group U(1) and a single charged hypermultiplet.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.
