Surface surveillance for ground moving targets indicators

SPIE Proceedings, 2014
Ground moving target indication (GMTI) using multiple resolutions of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images to estimate the clutter scattering statistics can help transform Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), a mission area essential to the U.S.

A new approach for ground moving target indication in foliage environment

Signal Processing, 2006
Ground moving target indication (GMTI) in foliage environment is a challenging problem, because the strong echoes from dense foliage environment and big attenuation of the radar microwave often make it difficult for traditional time frequency distributions to clearly and locally represent the Doppler frequency.

Enhancement of Along-Track Interferometry for Ground Moving Target Indication

IGARSS 2008 - 2008 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2008
Along-Track Interferometry (ATI) for the indication of moving targets with two channel Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) shows a low detection probability for a small number of looks. This paper proposes an enhancement called Better ATI (BATI). It is characterized by a constant parameter added to the interferometric SAR image before determining its phase.

Advances in Doppler recognition for ground moving target indication

SPIE Proceedings, 2006
Ground Moving Target Indication (GMTI) radar provides a day/night, all-weather, wide-area surveillance capability to detect moving vehicles and personnel. Current GMTI radar sensors are limited to only detecting and tracking targets. The exploitation of GMTI data would be greatly enhanced by a capability to recognize accurately the detections as ...

Along-track interferometry for ground moving target indication

IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Magazine, 2008
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) along-track interferometry (ATI) has been used extensively to measure ocean surface currents. Given its ability to measure small velocities (-10 cm/s) of relatively radar-dark water surfaces, there is great potential that this technique can be adapted for ground moving target indication (GMTI) applications, particularly ...

Two-Antenna SAR With Waveform Diversity for Ground Moving Target Indication

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2014
Along-track interferometry (ATI) and displaced phase center antenna (DPCA) are two representative synthetic aperture radar (SAR) ground moving target indication (GMTI) techniques. However, the former is a clutter-limited detector, whereas the latter is a noise-limited detector.

Video SAR Ground Moving Target Indication Based on Multi-Target Tracking Neural Network

2021 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium IGARSS, 2021
Shadows of ground moving targets in video synthetic aperture radar (SAR) has been found very useful in ground moving target indication (GMTI) for they can indicate the real positions of moving targets at different times, which is significant for SAR reconnaissance and surveillance.

Ground Moving Target Indication Using an InSAR System With a Hybrid Baseline

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2008
In this letter, a two-channel airborne experimental interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) designed for terrain height estimation is exploited to acquire the ability of ground moving target indication (GMTI). Due to the hybrid baseline of this system, the interferometric phase changes with the target motion as well as the terrain height.
