Outlook on Agriculture, 1984
Changing agricultural practice and an increasing need to work land under wet conditions has led to growing interest in vehicles designed to minimize soil compaction. This article reviews the design of custom-built vehicles and the possibilities of adapting conventional ones.

Ground pressure measurement system
SPIE Proceedings, 1998An important constraint upon the design of unmanned demining vehicles is the pressure they exert on the ground. To provide for the safety of the expensive equipment carried, vehicles designed to detect land mines must disturb the ground in a mine field as little as possible.

Normal Foot-Ground Pressure Pattern in Children
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1980A modern measuring aid for recording foot--ground pressure (FGP) distribution was used to establish normal patterns in male and female children aged 4 to 6 years. Computer analysis demonstrated the pressure exerted by each part of the foot. Standing at ease, the child with a normal foot exerts most of his ground pressure by the posterior weight-bearing

The foot-ground pressure distribution following triple arthrodesis
Archives of Orthopaedic and Traumatic Surgery, 1981The present is a long-term follow-up study of patients who underwent triple arthrodesis for a variety of pathologic alterations. Utilizing a new method for both the qualitative and quantitative measurement of foot-ground pressure patterns, these patterns were recorded in forty control feet and twenty-six operated feet.

Ground state of solid hydrogen at high pressures
Physical Review B, 1987Quantum Monte Carlo calculations of the properties of bulk hydrogen at zero temperature have been performed. The only approximations involved in these calculations are the restriction to finite systems (64 to 432 atoms), the use of the fixed-node approximation to treat Fermi statistics, and the finite length of the Monte Carlo runs.

Pressure shifts of acetonitrile ground state parameters
Journal of Molecular Structure, 2006Abstract The rotational spectrum of methylcyanide (acetonitrile) in the ground vibrational state was measured in the spectral region from 50 to 275 GHz using the new Prague millimeterwave spectrometer that was built in close cooperation with the Gisbert Winnewisser Cologne group.
