High pressure turbomachinery ground test facility
28th Joint Propulsion Conference and Exhibit, 1992Turbomachinery test facilities are at present scarce to non-existent world-wide. The turbomachinery test facility at Stennis Space Center will provide for advanced development and research and development capabilities for liquid hydrogen/liquid oxygen propellant rocket engine components.

Tactile Pressure Sensors to Measure Ground Pressure from Tractor Tire Loads
Geotechnical Testing Journal, 2018Abstract This article provides an assessment of tactile sensors used to measure ground pressures in soil from full-size tractor tires. To capture the tire’s soil pressure four 5400N tactile pressure sensors from Tekscan (Boston, MA) were utilized with a full-size agricultural tire in a laboratory setting. A servo-hydraulic loading system,

Benefits of Low Ground Pressure Tyre Equipment
1994Summary The concept of the application of low ground pressure to reduce over-compaction of soil is discussed at the level of a uniaxial compression test, a single wheel, a vehicle and a traffic system. Generally, reduction of the pressure on the soil leads to lower levels of soil compactness.

Theoretical Ground Pressure Distributions of Log Skidders
Transactions of the ASAE, 1983ABSTRACT EFFORTS to reduce soil compaction caused by ground-based logging vehicles have largely ignored ground pressure distribution. Therefore, mathematical models describing theoretical pressure distributions along the bottom of the tracks of tracked logging vehicles and on the bottom of the tires of wheeled logging vehicles were developed and are ...

Characteristics of static pressure on the ground
Journal of Wind Engineering and Industrial Aerodynamics, 2001Abstract When wind pressures on a building in natural wind are estimated, a static pressure measured with a manhole, a Pitot static tube, or a static tube of the disk type, has been used as the reference pressure. However, there are a few studies on the detailed characteristics of the static pressure itself in natural wind.

GROUND SURFACE AIR-BLAST PRESSURE VERSUS DISTANCE
1960Abstract : Shot Lacrosse afforded an opportunity to instrument a medium yield (37.8 kt) surface burst. Ground surface air-blast gages recorded a precursor type shock wave at a station 1,180 feet from ground zero and a clean or classical type wave at a station 1.950 feet from ground zero.

Ground Shock and Water Pressures from Milrow
BioScience, 1971radionuclides which was a very unrealistic 1.27 x 106 rem. When the marine transport model was applied in calculating the infinitetime doses for the remaining 47 radionuclides, the sum of the doses was 0.628 rem. The sum of the 47 radionuclides plus the sum of the doses from the previously considered 53 radionuclides was 1.52 rem.

Discussions of Tire Ground Pressure Distribution Model
Advanced Materials Research, 2011Though there have been some experimental studies to discuss laws of grounding shape and grounding pressure, the acknowledged mathematics model has not established. In order to discuss the law of tire ground pressure distribution, pressure distribution models of round rectangles grounding shape and ellipse grounding shape are advanced differently ...
