Prediction of Ground Response Spectrum of Jalandhar City of Punjab using Non-Linear Ground Response Analysis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Creative and Open Research in Engineering and Management
The increasing occurrence of seismic activities worldwide, along with the growing emphasis on microzonation, has highlighted the crucial role of soil properties in seismic assessment. In this study, a non-linear Ground Response Analysis (GRA) was performed to evaluate the effects of earthquakes on local soil conditions.

Influence of spatial variability of ground motion on seismic response of bridges

open access: yesGrađevinar, 2015
An approach to seismic analysis of bridges under spatially variable ground motions is presented. The phenomenon of spatial variability of earthquakes, its effects on bridge response, and differences with respect to simultaneous excitation of supports ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Earthquake Ground Motion Characteristics as a Function of a Preprocessing Procedure

open access: yesApplied Sciences
To enable the engineering application of earthquake ground motion records, this study establishes a standardized preprocessing procedure and systematically analyzes how each preprocessing step affects the characteristics of the ground motion data. Due to

Dynamic Response Evaluation of Bridges Considering Aspect Ratio of Pier in Near-Fault and Far-Fault Ground Motions

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The recent increase in earthquake activities has highlighted the importance of predicting the seismic response of structures. Damage to civil infrastructure, particularly bridges, can cause considerable human and property losses.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Seismic Response Analysis of Jointed Rock Slope under Pulse-Like Ground Motions

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering
Because of the forward directivity effects, energy concentration, and fling step effect of pulse-like ground motions, it is easy to cause landslide of jointed rock slope.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.
