Ground state of granular metals
Physical Review Letters, 1993We argue that for granular metals a sizable fraction of the grains becomes charged because the energy fluctuation of the highest-occupied level of each grain, as predicted by random matrix theory, is larger than the charging energy. We have computed the ground state density of states and the degree of ionization of granular metals.

S>A calculation scheme suitable for studying the ground state of many- body Bose quantum systems with strong forces is developed. The calculation scheme is basel on the nodeless property of ihe ground-state wave function and is capable of yielding in some cases upper and lower bounds on the ground-state energy and corresponding wave functions.

Ground state of amorphous iron
Physical Review B, 1989On the basis of a new theory of finite-temperature magnetism in amorphous materials and liquids, it is shown that amorphous iron forms an itinerant-electron spin glass at low temperatures because of the nonlinear magnetic couplings between iron local moments and local-environment effects on the amplitude of the local moments.

Ground state of an electrorheological fluid
Physical Review A, 1992The ground state of an electrorheological fluid is examined for high dielectric contrast (∈ p /∈ f →∞). In contrast to the result of Tao and Sun (Phys. Rev. Lett. 67, 398 (1991)] for the dipole limit, three structures are found to be degenerate: face-centered cubic, hexagonal close packed, and body-centered tetragonal.

UNIQUENESS OF GROUND STATE SOLUTIONS
Acta Mathematica Scientia, 1988Summary: We discuss the uniqueness of ground state solutions of the problem \[ \Delta u+f(u)=0\quad in\quad R^ n;\quad u(x)\to 0\quad as\quad | x| \to \infty, \] where \(N>2\), f(u) satisfies some conditions which ensure the existence of a ground state solution.
