Electronic ground state of Ni2+ [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 2016
The Φ9/24 ground state of the Ni2+ diatomic molecular cation is determined experimentally from temperature and magnetic-field-dependent x-ray magnetic circular dichroism spectroscopy in a cryogenic ion trap, where an electronic and rotational temperature of 7.4±0.2 K was reached by buffer gas cooling of the molecular ion.

Photodetachment of C in the ground state

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2020
Synopsis Absolute total cross sections and asymmetry parameters for photodetachment of C− (4So) have been measured using animated-crossed-beam and velocity map imaging techniques, for photon energies from threshold up to 6eV. The cross sections are 15% to 25% larger than earlier experimental results above 2.2 eV.

Multi-State Density Functional Theory for Ground and Excited States

open access: yes, 2021
We report a rigorous formulation of multi-state density functional theory (MSDFT) that extends the Kohn-Sham (KS) energy functional for the ground state to a Hamiltonian matrix functional H[D] of the density matrix D in the space spanned by the lowest N ...

Groundstate for the Schrödinger-Poisson-Slater equation involving the Coulomb-Sobolev critical exponent

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2023
In this article, we study the existence of ground state solutions for the Schrödinger-Poisson-Slater type equation with the Coulomb-Sobolev critical growth: −Δu+14π∣x∣∗∣u∣2u=∣u∣u+μ∣u∣p−2u,inR3,-\Delta u+\left(\frac{1}{4\pi | x| }\ast | u{| }^{2}\right)u=|

Robust Wideband Interference Suppression Method for GNSS Array Antenna Receiver via Hybrid Beamforming Technique

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Global navigation satellite system (GNSS) array antenna receivers are widely used to suppress wideband interference in navigation countermeasures. However, existing array antenna receivers all adopt a digital array structure and digital beamforming ...

Singular Mean-Field States: A Brief Review of Recent Results

open access: yesCondensed Matter, 2020
This article provides a focused review of recent findings which demonstrate, in some cases quite counter-intuitively, the existence of bound states with a singularity of the density pattern at the center; the states are physically meaningful because ...

A Broadband Shared-Aperture L/S/X-Band Dual-Polarized Antenna for SAR Applications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper presents a novel tri-band antenna with dual polarizations and shared aperture. The proposed antenna operates at L-, S-, and X-bands with an approximate frequency ratio of 1:1.9:5.5.

Hybrid Monte Carlo algorithm for studying the Edwards-Anderson model

open access: yesSt. Petersburg Polytechnical University Journal: Physics and Mathematics, 2022
The complexity of the study of spin glasses is related to their frustrations, due to which classical Monte Carlo algorithms experience serious difficulties when trying to calculate such systems.
