BODY TEMPERATURE OF BARREN GROUND CARIBOU

Canadian Journal of Zoology, 1965
Rectal temperatures were recorded for barren ground caribou during their first 100 days of life. The normal rectal temperature of caribou was found to be 39 ± 0.78 °C. Temperature elevations of 2.2 °C occurred as a result of activity. The practical implications of these observations are discussed.

Estimation of Ground Temperature Using Ambient Temperature

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2020
The purpose of this study is to use deep floor heating to heat the fluid in the installed pipes, which is used to heat water used in homes, factories, workshops, etc. Especially in the city of Tehran and metropolises that have underground trains and some of its lines pass from a depth of 40 meters.

Ground temperatures in Britain

International Journal of Ambient Energy, 2006
SYNOPSIS Knowledge of ground temperatures is useful for those considering the use of earth-sheltered buildings or ground-source heat pumps, and enables more accurate predictions of performance to be obtained. Ground temperature data has been collected for many different purposes, including civil engineering, electrical cable laying, agricultural and ...

Ground temperature and meteor showers

Russian Physics Journal, 2007
The authors of many works published mainly in the Internet in the last few years state that the ground temperature sharply decreases during meteor showers, which supposedly leads to a climate change. In the present paper, we estimate the ground temperature decrease caused by sunlight screening during main meteor showers.

Measurements of ground temperatures in Cyprus for ground thermal applications

Renewable Energy, 2011
The knowledge of the thermal behaviour of the ground and the factors affecting it are important for many construction projects and for using the ground as heat storage or a heat exchange media. Not enough information exists regarding the thermal behaviour of the ground in Cyprus and this is one of the main interests of this study.
