Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Targeting TNBC: core–shell polycationic polyurea dendrimers with inherent anticancer activity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Core–shell polycationic PURE dendrimers were tested in TNBC‐derived tumor models. Both formulations selectively targeted TNBC and effectively reduced tumor volume. PUREG4‐OEI48 suppressed tumor growth without detectable toxicity, whereas PUREG4‐OCEI24, despite showing efficacy, induced hepatic toxicity.

Truths qua Grounds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
A number of philosophers have recently found it congenial to talk in terms of grounding. Grounding discourse features grounding sentences that are answers to questions about what grounds what.

Modality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
A survey of the connection between grounding and modality, in particular supervenience. The survey explores three possible connections between grounding and supervenience: (1) supervenience can be analyzed in terms of ...

Groundhog Grounding Large Language Models to Holistic Segmentation [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Vision and Pattern Recognition
Most multimodal large language models (MLLMs) learn language-to-object grounding through causal language modeling where grounded objects are captured by bounding boxes as sequences of location tokens.

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Differences in M‐components between triggered lightning striking the ground and overhead line

open access: yesHigh Voltage
In the summer of 2018–2019, rocket‐triggered lightning experiments were conducted in Guangzhou, China. There were two types of lightning targets: ground and overhead line.

Prediction of Breakdown Voltage of Long Air Gaps Under Switching Impulse Voltage Based on the ISSA-XGBoost Model

open access: yesEnergies
In transmission lines, the discharge characteristics of long air gaps significantly influence the design of external insulation. Existing machine learning models for predicting breakdown voltage are typically limited to single gaps and do not account for

The Mitigation of Interference on Underground Power Lines Caused by the HVDC Electrode

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
High Voltage Direct Current power links are usually designed to adopt, on a continuous basis or during emergency operations, two grounding plants using the soil or seawater as a link–current return path.
