Rare‐Earth–Functionalized Carbon Dot Hydrogels as Mechanically Robust Antibacterial Wound Dressings

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The schematic depicts a dynamically cross‐linked PVA hydrogel network in which reversible borate ester bonds and hydrogen‐bonding interactions integrate lanthanum‐doped carbon dots (La‐CDs) and dipotassium glycyrrhizinate (DPG) to form a mechanically robust, multifunctional matrix.

Multiwavelength Implantable Oximeter for Wireless Monitoring of Tissue Oxygenation in the Presence of Blood Volume Changes

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents an implantable, wireless, battery‐free oximeter that can continuously monitor physiologically consistent regional tissue oxygenation under dynamic changes of blood volume. This is achieved through multiwavelength photoplethysmography and validated both via Monte Carlo simulations and in vivo rat studies. Different stress events were

Calculation of resistances to ground

Electrical Engineering, 1936
Formulas for practical use in the calculation of the resistances from grounding conductors of variou forms to the earth are given in this paper and their use illustrated by examples. The accuracy of the formulas varies considerably, as discussed in the paper, but is sufficiently good that the methods should be helpful to those whose work involves ...

Resistance to ground and mesh voltages of ground grids

Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1979
The paper presents the results of a digital analysis of a wide set of square and rectangular grounding grids. The diagrams for grid resistances and mesh voltage factors are displayed appropriate for practical design purposes. Simple approximate formulas for both grid parameters considered are also proposed, providing a fair estimation of the parameters.

DETERMINATION OF THE MUTUAL GROUND RESISTANCE OF ADJACENT GROUNDING GRIDS

Journal of Energy - Energija, 2022
The article discusses the determination of the mutual ground resistance of two adjacent metallically connected grounding grids. For this purpose, an original analytical expression for calculating the corresponding mutual ground resistance of two adjacent grounding grids has been developed.

Prediction of Soil Resistivity and Ground Rod Resistance for Deep Ground Electrodes

IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1980
A technique for the prediction of soil resistivity and ground rod resistance for deep ground electrodes has been developed. The method extrapolates limited test ground rod data to a factor of up to ten times the known depth values. The technique has been shown to accurately predict the effectiveness of installing deep ground electrodes and the ...

Android tool to evaluate grounding resistance

2015 IEEE International Telecommunications Energy Conference (INTELEC), 2015
In the absence of sources of rapidly varying field, the study of the potential distribution determined, in a linear medium, by a geometrically complex grounding may be conducted by applying the method of superposition of the effects, known as method of subareas of Maxwell.

Calculation of grounding resistance

Electric Power Systems Research, 1984
Abstract This paper introduces an algorithm for the calculation of grounding resistance based on the boundary element method (or current simulation method). A series of computer results for different kinds of grounding systems is presented. On the basis of the computer results, an evaluation is made of commonly used formulas for grounding resistance ...
