A Systemic Model for Understanding Business Interactions With Biodiversity and Ecosystems
ABSTRACT Biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation represent critical threats to human well‐being and economic resilience, challenging businesses to understand and manage their interdependence with natural systems. This study develops a systemic framework—the BioModel—that elucidates the reciprocal relationship between businesses, biodiversity, and ...

Do High Temperatures Affect Firm Demography? Evidence From Italy
ABSTRACT This study analyses the impact of high temperatures and heat stress on Italian firm demography during 2009–2022. Combining provincial‐firm‐level data with a high‐resolution multidecadal meteorological dataset, we investigate whether high temperatures—absolute and anomalous—affect firm entry and exit rates.

The Possible Use of Tritium' for Estimating Groundwater Storage [PDF]
In view of a recent work by Begemann & Libby (1957) their postulate on rapid mixing inside a groundwater body is examined. It is found that there are no possible processes which can accomplish such a mixing. Their observations can, however, be readily explained from a simple model of groundwater flow, assuming no mixing.

ABSTRACT Global climate change has elevated the strategic importance of corporate climate risk disclosure, yet the role of industry peer effects in shaping such disclosure remains underexplored. Grounded in social learning theory, this study proposes an “observation–imitation–reinforcement” framework and empirically tests it using panel data on Chinese

ABSTRACT Industrial symbiosis (IS) represents a key strategy for industrial decarbonisation (ID) by converting one industry's waste into valuable inputs for another, reducing emissions and resource extraction. Scientific studies have explored the concept, implementation approaches and theoretical foundations of IS.

Groundwater Storage in High Alpine Catchments and Its Contribution to Streamflow
There is limited knowledge about groundwater storage in alpine catchments, although it might strongly influence how these catchments react to earlier snowmelt due to climate change.
