Population pharmacokinetic modelling of amoxicillin in human breast milk—A contribution from the ConcePTION project

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aims Amoxicillin, a widely used β‐lactam antibiotic, requires improved pharmacokinetic characterization during breastfeeding. This study used a population pharmacokinetic (PopPK) approach to model amoxicillin concentrations in breast milk, identify variability sources and estimate infant exposure, applying worst‐case scenarios.

Quantitative Analysis Reveals Hitchhiking Drives Polysorbate Hydrolase Persistence Via Host Cell Protein–Antibody Interactions

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Polysorbate‐degrading host cell proteins (HCPs) represent a critical challenge in the manufacturing of monoclonal antibody therapeutics due to their potential to persist during downstream processing. While their enzymatic activity has been characterized, the role of direct HCP‐mAb interactions, particularly those involving polysorbate ...

Infection Risk From Humans and Animals in the Anatomy Laboratory: A Scoping Review

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Whole‐body dissection is a cornerstone of anatomy education. During and following the COVID‐19 pandemic, exposure to infectious agents and other risks of dissection were highlighted. To identify potential risks, one must have the data outlining these risks in specific situations.

Antidiabetic Potential of Ligands from NEIST_PMIB_06, Bacterium Associated with Hawaijar (Fermented Soy Food): Insight from in Vitro and in Silico Studies

open access: yesChemFoodChem, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this study, a bacterium (NEIST_PMIB_06) was isolated from Hawaijar, a fermented soy food from Manipur, Northeast India. The bacterium was inoculated and incubated to isolate bioactive compounds. Liquid‐liquid extraction was performed to obtain extracts (cell‐free and cell‐based), and their efficacy was evaluated.

Two‐Step Synthesis of a Chiral Fluorinated Alcohol With Silica‐Supported Enzyme RrADH in Batch and Continuous Flow Mode

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A two‐step process was transferred from batch to flow mode for the synthesis of (R)‐2‐fluoro‐1‐phenylethanol as a benchmark, consisting of a decarboxylative fluorination in aqueous media, followed by an enantioselective biocatalytic reduction of the prochiral intermediate with RrADH immobilized on silica supraparticles.
