Clinical Rheumatology, 1983Serious infections with group B streptococcus (streptococcus agalactiae) are rare in adults. A 81-year-old patient with cirrhosis who developed a septic arthritis due to this germ, is described. Only eleven cases of group B streptococcal arthritis have been previously reported.
